Zeph Rogers, age 96, passed away April 12, 2022 as a result of ITP, an autoimmune disease, diagnosed April 2, 2022.
Zeph, daughter of Homer Alexander and Inez Farr Colley, was born August 28, 1925 in New Rochelle, GA. She married Paul Edward Rogers May 8, 1944 and began life as a military wife with many homes in military bases in the US and Germany. She was also the head of household in US while Paul completed tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. In1959 they settled in Huntsville, AL where Paul was assigned to Redstone Arsenal. Huntsville was home for the next 54 years until 2013 when they moved to Marietta, GA to be near their daughters.
At a young age she had leadership roles in the Officers Wives Club when in Germany, President of the PTA in KY and was an active participant in the other communities where she lived.
In 1968 she began her business with Viviane Woodard Cosmetics in Huntsville, AL. Her positive energy and motivational/marketing skills resulted in her building the award winning and largest distributorship in the country. She was best in the business four years in a row and asked to speak at many locations around the country as well as be the trainer in London, England, when that new territory was being developed.
A wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, grandmother and friend. She had a wonderful way of relating to people. She blessed our lives in so many ways and her presence in our lives will be dearly missed. We are confident of her faith in the Lord and that she is with him in Glory as well as with her loving husband, Paul Edward Rogers of Omega, Georgia.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Joy Lynn Rogers and Pat Fahey and Paula and Dennis Mosby; sister, Jean Medford of Tifton, GA, and grand-children Michael (Krissy), Mark and Jonathan Mosby. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Edward Rogers; sisters, Wynelle Kelty, Orlena Frazier, and Leola Ireland; and brothers, Alec Colley, Van Buren Colley and Mitchell Colley.
