William Cooper Obituary


Mr. William Frank Cooper, 78, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in his Cherokee county home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Frank was the only child born to Rev. Lonnie William Cooper and Janie Stultz in Martinsville, VA on April 13, 1939. He graduated from Washington High School, class of '57 and achieved a Bachelor's Degree in business at the esteemed Virginia Tech, class of '61. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Most of his career days were spent in sales with Christian publishing firms. Zig Ziglar and John Maxwell were two of his most notable employers. He started a Southern Gospel Quartet "The Calvary Men" which traveled the church circuit around greater Atlanta.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents and his Uncle John H. Stultz, of Danville, VA. He is survived by his beloved wife Diane Emerson-Cooper and his precious children, Dawn Holmberg (Dean) of Hendersonville, NC; Carrie O'Brien of Hendersonville, NC; Butch Scott (Elyse) of Fort White, FL; Meg Scott (Michelle) Atlanta, GA. As well as Frank's 5 grandchildren: Austin & Ally O'Brien, Brantley & Asher Holmberg, and Reed Scott. Frank is also survived by his Uncle Harry Stultz (Amy) Hialeah, FL and two cousins: Robert Martin (Sarah), Winston-Salem, NC and Ronnie L. Martin (Martha), Highpoint, NC. Frank leaves many dear family & friends in Georgia & Virginia.

Frank's Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2pm at Cherokee Christian Fellowship Church, 207 Marvin Land Lane, Canton, GA 30115.
