Mr. Thomas Benson Payne, age 88, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully February 11, 2024 with his family by his side.
A native of Mountain City Georgia, Tom had spent his whole life in the peach state. In 1958 he married the love of his life Mary Blanche Stowe. Tom would soon be drafted into the United States Army where he was a member of the 101st Airborne Division stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Tom enjoyed a wonderful career in the retail food industry retiring from Lever Brothers then later working on a limited basis with Kraft Foods. He and Mary were charter members of First Redeemer Church in Cumming, GA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents Robert and Lucille Payne; son in law Kyle Prince and his siblings.
Left to cherish is memory are his daughter’s Pamela Prince, and Michelle (Joey) Traylor; sister Betty Harrison; grandchildren; Korbin Prince, Karson Prince, Joshua Traylor and Jordan Traylor.
A private graveside service with military honors will be conducted Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Georgia National Cemetery.
