Sheldon Austin Lewis

Sheldon Austin Lewis, age 17, passed away on February 6, 2026. Born on December 23, 2008, Sheldon was a vibrant young man whose passions included cooking, dancing, basketball, football, soccer, track, and gaming.

Sheldon is survived by his parents Sharon and Tommy, siblings Dominique, Peanut (Antonique), Tomyia, TJ (Thomas), Amber, TomTom, Patric, and David; nieces and nephews Arielle, Amari, Tamiya, Patric, and Mehki; uncles Jonathan, William, Cedric, and Great Uncle Punkin; aunties Camilla, Sheila, Celia, Snowy, Karen, and Linda; cousins including Barry, Ampman, Dustin, Nicholas, and many more; grandpa Henry; brother-in-law Andy; and sister’s fiancé Zakary.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Mary, Edna, and Thomas, and uncles Leroy (“Dunny”), Beaver (Isaac), David, and Jerome.

Sheldon will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his love of family, and the energy he brought to every moment of life.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Greenforest Community Baptist Church, 3250 Rainbow Dr., Decatur, GA, with Rev. Dr. Christopher Waters delivering the eulogy and Rev. Rhonda S. Hicks officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E. Ponce De Leon Ave., Stone Mountain, GA.
