Robert Thompson

Mr. Robert Thompson, age 88 of Cumming,GA passed away peacefully at his home on January 28th, 2020. He was born and raised in Forsyth County, GA and had been a lifelong resident. Robert along with his family were faithful members of Brookwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife of 59 years Betty Thompson; Son and daughter-in-law Randall and Jackie Thompson; Daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Wayne Parker; Son and daughter-in-law Duane and Felecia Thompson; Daughter and son-in-law Janet and Terry Elrod; Grandchildren: Deanna Mixon, Craig and Carina Thompson, Carmen and Jonathan Seitz, Dylan and Krista Thompson, Morgan,and Ireland Elrod, Josh and Carly Elrod, Great Grandchildren: Cameron and Conner Mixon, Sophia, Sarah, and Sylvia Thompson, Hayla, Garrett, and Lillian Seitz, Lacie and Karlee Thompson, Wilder Elrod, Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Clinton and Mattie Mae Thompson. Siblings; Brothers: HW Thompson & JW Thompson, Sister: Eleen Thompson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 31, at 2p, Brookwood Baptist Church 2775 Brookwood Road, Cumming, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tommy Weldy and Rev. Donnie Nix will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 3p until 8p and Friday morning from 10a until 1p at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Dr. Cumming GA.
