Phillip Leroy Green

Phillip Leroy Green, age 74, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Phillip is survived by his devoted significant other, Helen Green; his children Phil & Rhonda Green, Gail Catinchi & Scott Emory, Meredith & Keith Warren, Crystal & Mike Cummings, and Kim & Arthur Copley; as well as 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and several siblings who will forever cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, and a beloved granddaughter.

Phillip was loved by everyone who knew him. Known for his humor, warm presence, and larger-than-life spirit, he was truly the life of every gathering. To his family, he was the best dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa anyone could ask for—steadfast, caring, and always ready with a joke or a helping hand.

A skilled carpenter, Phillip owned and operated his own business for many years. Even after retiring, he continued doing what he loved, staying busy with projects around the house and offering his craftsmanship whenever he could.

Phillip will be deeply and greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, 2:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church of Kingston, 15 Carroll Slough Rd, Kingston, GA 30145
 

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane. I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. 

No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye. You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why. 

My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flows. What it meant to love you, no one can ever know. 

But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more; To remember all the happy times life still has much in store. 

Since you’ll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today. A hollowed place within my heart is where you’ll always stay.
