It is with great sadness that the family of Phabrice Scheidl announce her peaceful passing, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 89 years.
Phabrice was born to Gladys Marie Yates-Ivey and Marvin Leroy Ivey on February 16, 1934, in Grapeland, Texas. She met and married Albert John Scheidl, Jr. who at the time was serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Commissioned Officer and was stationed at James Connally Air Force Base in Waco, Texas. After Al retired from the Air Force, Phabrice and Al moved to Houston, Texas. They, along with their four children, eventually relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.
She was regularly active in the church, had a flair for making flower arrangements, and loved tending to her roses. She and her husband loved to travel, to include countless cruises and traveling extensively throughout Europe. After Al’s passing, her focus was on staying active. Along with spending time with her children and grandchildren, she loved playing games, especially Scrabble, something she was quite good at. She is, and always will be, dearly missed by all.
Phabrice will be lovingly remembered by her children Suzanne (Richard), A.J. and Janet and siblings Jo Juan Ivey-Watson, Morris Ivey, and Ronald Ivey. Phabrice will also be fondly remembered by her son-in-law Jim, five grandchildren, Gregory, Jennifer (Ryan), Brock (Nicole), Halleigh, and Hannah (Chris) and by her five great-grandchildren, Cash, Marley, Marshall, Piper and Linc. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Al, her daughter, Theresa Lynn Scheidl-May, sister Glynel Ivey-Cutler, and brothers Bobby Ivey and Wayne Ivey.
