Obituary
Mr. Paul L. "Buzz" Shaw Jr., age 79, of Linville Falls, NC passed away June 8, 2022 at the VA Medical Center Ashville, NC. He was the son of Paul and Dorothy Shaw of Linville Falls, NC and Millville, NJ.
Paul spent years as a builder establishing Mill Meadows Campground, Cross Creek Cabins, and numerous homes. He loved nature, our mountains, and Montana where he attended college and visited annually. Paul proudly served our country in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeffery. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughters: Danielle and Natalie, two grandsons: Austin Moretz and Nathaniel King, his sister Cynthia and her husband Rodney Fox of Maine, as well as nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a memorial service on July 23, 2022 10:00a at the Linville Falls Community Church, NC Highway 183, Linville Falls, NC 28647. The family will receive friends at the church immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers nations can be made to the church or Medi-Home Hospice.
