It is with the deepest of sadness that we announce the “Great Transition” of Patricia Annette Reid on February 16, 2025 in Canton, Georgia (at home). Punkin’ Lane was born in Coral Gables’ Doctor’s Hospital in Coral Gables, FL on February 2, 1955. She passed away at home surrounded in love by her husband, children, and sister.
Patti was a Mom and Wife, which was the best occupation she ever had and only ever wanted. True story! She also succeeded at being a Surgical Technologist, Nail Tech, Track Star, and being on the evening local news once as a female to suit up in fire gear and navigate a burning building (a.k.a. Superhero). She also ran the pizza booth and bible study for St. James Catholic Church in the 80’s.
Other than being a mom and wife first, she loved playing on her iPad, reading, celebrating with her family, watching shows and movies such as Big Brother, Real Housewives, any Thriller, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Steel Magnolias, and anything her kids and grand-babies wanted her to watch.
She loved to cook and celebrate others. She loved to dance and laugh. She had the best laugh. She also loved riding shotgun in life with her husband and person, Dan Reid, or as she called him, "Reub" or "Reuben" with her best latin accent and emphasis on rolling her R's sounding like, "Rrrreuban.” Or it was simply “Dan” when he was in trouble.
She loved being on the ocean, watching sunsets and sunrises, and sharing these most intimate moments with her family. Being a grandma, or “Amma,” was also her favorite. She couldn’t get enough of it and she loved each of her grand-babies in her own personal and very special way.
She loved putting on a little perfume and lipstick to “sprucen up,” and she loved to go for a drive just to drive and see her world. She loved watching nature and marveled at the miracle of life, especially since her final baby, Steven, was conceived even though her tubes were surgically tied.
She had the best sense of humor, a quick strategic sarcasm (stealth), and the best way to let you know everything was going to be okay. She was, is, and always will be irreplaceable.
Patti is survived by Daniel R. Reid, Husband, April Roane, Daughter (Braxton Roane Son-In-Law, Madison Claxton, Grandaughter, Logan Roane, Bonus Grandson), Sheri Vuolo, Daughter (Glen Tollison), Andi Reyes, Daughter (Ismel Reyes Son-In-Law, Olivia Reyes, Granddaughter, Jacob Reyes, Grandson, Emily Reyes, Granddaughter), Patrick Vuolo, Son (Jessie Vuolo Daughter-In-Law, Regan Vuolo, Granddaughter, Lydia Vuolo, Granddaughter), Steven Reid, Son (Hayley Reid Daughter-In-Law, Hudson Reid, Grandson, Savannah Reid, Granddaughter, Everly Reid, Granddaughter, Lola Reid, Granddaughter, Van Reid, Grandson), Scott Reid, Son, Kevin Reid, Son, and Bobbie Lane, Sister, as well as beloved nieces, nephews, and many extended friends and family members, as well as Olivia, their beautiful cat.
