Michael “Mickey” W. Retzer Sr.

Michael "Mickey" W. Retzer Sr., 63, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 26th, 2018, in hospice care at Seasons Hospice in Cumming with his family by his side.

Mickey was born in Alton, IL only child of Marlin and Mary Retzer. He lived in the Alton area, until moving to Cumming, GA in 2001. He graduated from Roxana High School, and later, SIUE with a degree in Computer Science. He spent much of his career in various IT positions and was always eager to learn about the newest development in technology. He enjoyed several hobbies such as photography, aquarium keeping, and scuba diving. He loved spending time in Florida, enjoying the beaches and scuba diving.

Mickey is survived by his daughter Nicole Hanselman, of Edwardsville, IL; his son Michael Retzer, of Cumming, GA; and grandson Liam Hanselman, of Edwardsville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
