Matthew Briscoe Obituary

Baruch Matthew (Bubba) Briscoe, age 38, of Loganville, GA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 13, 2021 of advanced hemochromatosis.

Matthew was born September 28, 1982 at DeKalb Medical Center to Barry and V. Catherine Briscoe, also of Loganville.  Matthew was the fifth child born to the couple, with older siblings Christopher Whitley, Nelson Briscoe, Christy Briscoe, and Shelley Briscoe preceding him and Jesse Briscoe, Bethany Briscoe, and Caitlyn Briscoe to follow.

Matthew attended Loganville schools, where he formed friendships and made memories that brought him joy all throughout his life.   He was a proud Loganville Red Devil, serving as a Loganville High School cheerleader for several years before his graduation in 2001.  After graduation, Matthew obtained licensure in cosmetology and spent many years pursuing his passion of inspiring self-confidence, love, and grace in the hearts of his many loyal clients.  A man of deep personal faith, Matthew enjoyed attending church, singing songs of praise and worship, playing his tambourine, and offering up prayers for those in need.   His zest for life and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Cathy Hague, Barry Briscoe, and step-mother Patty, siblings Chris, Christy and husband Steven Eberhart, Shelley and husband Edward, Jesse, Bethany and husband Blake Miller, and Caiti, grandparents Patricia Manley, George and Leota Furis, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson, in 2007, and grandparents William Cooper, William Briscoe, and Margaret Briscoe.

Graveside services will be held at Corinth Christian Church, 1635 GA-81, Loganville, GA 30052 on Wednesday, March 17 at 11:00a.
