Mrs. Mary Stowe Payne, age 86, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully at her home November 6, 2023.

Mary and her husband Tom moved to Forsyth County from Tucker GA over 30 years ago and were charter members of First Redeemer Church where she served on the Super Senior Volunteer Team.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Gladys Mosley Stowe; brothers, Lee Roy and Frank Stowe, and son-in-law Kyle Prince.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas Benson Payne; daughter’s Pamela Payne Prince and Michelle Payne Traylor; son-in-law Joseph Traylor; grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Traylor, Korbin A. Prince, Karson Payne Prince, and Jordan Mary Traylor.

Mary loved the lord and her family unconditionally. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her willingness to help others, and for keeping everything in place and everybody on track.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 2pm in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Sawnee Drive Cumming, GA 30040. Reverend Mike Schmid will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12pm until 2pm on Thursday.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, November 10, 2023 at 9:30am, Georgia National Cemetery 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 20114. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 9:15a Friday morning.
