Louise Virginia (Elmore) Skalin

Louise Virginia Skalin, 79, of Marietta, GA died at home of cardiac arrest on August 29, 2024 with her husband, Bob Skalin, by her side. 

She was born in Donalsonville, GA in 1944 to her parents Carson and Levy Elmore, and moved to Orlando, FL when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Apopka High School before going to work for AT&T (formerly BellSouth) for a long standing career of over 20 years. In retirement, she enjoyed cooking, traveling to the beach with her husband and friends, and spending time with family.  

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Levy Elmore. 

She is survived by her husband, Bob Skalin, her children Stacey Cain (Mike) and Lance Dial (Jennifer), stepson Shawn Skalin (Amelia), and her 6 grandchildren Tyler Sprang (fiancé Jessica Kapalko), Sammi Sprang, Grayson Dial, Carson Dial, Ioan Boyd, and Opal Boyd.   

A private family viewing will be held on September 4, 2024 at Lakeside Funeral Home utilizing Scott Huskins Funeral Service.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
