Lloyd Lusk Obituary

Mr. Lloyd J. Lusk, age 96 of Canton, GA passed away March 22, 2024. He was born in Walhalla, S.C. on October 28, 1927 to his parents John & Ruby Lusk.

Lloyd was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he was awarded the WII Victory Medal and Army Occupation Medal - Japan. Lloyd was a 1953 graduate of Clemson University, and a retired manager of Raytheon Credit Union in Bristol, TN.

Lloyd loved the Lord, and was a member of Hightower Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, John E. Lusk (Sissy) of Woodstock, GA; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hawthorne; great grandchildren, Carter Jacob Harris & Kendrick Delano Hawthorne; daughter, Deborah A. Lusk Dobson of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie L. Putman of Greenville, S.C.

Lloyd was proceeded in death by his parents, John & Ruby (Derrick) Lusk, and his wife of 58 years, Annie R. (Keigans) Lusk.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, 2:00p at Hightower Baptist Church, 3444 Hightower Road, Ball Ground, GA 30107. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00p until 2:00p. Burial, with military honors, will be Friday, March 29, 2024, 11:00a at Georgia National Cemetery.
