Kevin Patrick Woodson, age 47, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on November 5, 2022. Kevin was born on November 16, 1974, in Greeley, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father William Warren Woodson.
He is survived by his wife, Traci Gillen-Woodson and their two girls Tessa Lily 13, and Taylor Stella 6, his four bonus boys Tyler Henington 29, Turner Henington 26, Trent Henington 24, and Trevor Henington 21, his mother Sharon Woodson, his sister Kimberley Woodson-Cronkhite (Todd), his brother Nathan Woodson, his niece Avallon Maslyn (Brian) and their three children, and his father and mother-in-law George and Mary Jo Gillen.
Kevin grew up in Greeley, Colorado and attended the University of Northern Colorado where he earned a business degree. Immediately out of college he moved to Denver, accepting a job with Oppenheimer Funds. Kevin met Traci in Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 2002 when they became teammates on a volleyball team. They became great friends and continued to play volleyball with each other for years. They fell in love and built a family together with the birth of Tessa Lily in 2009 and Taylor Stella in 2016. In 2019 they moved to Canton, Georgia when Oppenheimer merged with Invesco. It is there that Kevin worked tirelessly to provide for his family with a team that he relished working with.
Kevin enjoyed playing volleyball, collecting unique beers and whiskeys, Amazon ordering (oh the constant ordering), his daughter’s horse shows (ok, not the horse part, but the daughter part), and his happy place was the beach. He was a strong Catholic who loved the Lord and firmly believed in a Heavenly eternal life.
A service will be held at All Souls Catholic Church, 4950 S. Logan St., Englewood, CO 80113 on Friday January 6, 2023 at 10:00am, Rosary 9:30am with a reception and video presentation following.
Memorial contributions can be made to his daughter’s education fund at https://gofund.me/1c3b4f81.
