John H. Calloway

Mr. John H. Calloway, age 66 of Bryson City, N.C. and formerly of Avery County went to be with the Lord January 23, 2017. He was a beloved brother, friend and truly a blessing to all that knew him.

John was preceded in death by his parents Elmore and Bertha Calloway. Surviving are four sisters; Alice Presnell with whom he resided, Rosalee Wilson, Ruby Jolley and Susie Calloway. Two brothers J.D and Jack Calloway.

Funeral services for Mr. Calloway will be conducted Thursday, January 26 at 11:30AM at Elk Mtn. Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11AM until the time of the service.
