Jerry Farr

Jerry Farr, age 72, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2025, after an extended battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bass & Edna Mae Farr; his brother, Vic Farr; and his sister, Pat Watson.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his brother and sister-in-law, Rick & Beth Farr; his children, Paul & Crystal Farr, Destin & Jenny Farr, Katrina Farr, and Sally & Derek Franklin, as well as his godchildren, Sara & Ben Darden, and John Mullinax. He was a proud grandfather (BakBak) to Cole & Mara Franklin, Bennett & Eli Darden, and Micah, Jade, & Jewel Farr. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, relatives, and close friends.

An IT specialist by trade, Jerry's biggest passion in life was music. Even at an early age, this passion was unmistakable. From playing his very first chords to spending countless hours in the studio perfecting a sound, he poured his heart and soul into every note he ever played or produced. His creativity, dedication, and ear for detail made him not only an exceptional musician, but also an inspiring mentor and collaborator to many. When he wasn't making music, Jerry could be found cooking, landscaping, or sitting on his beloved back porch with his best friend and soulmate.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1:00pm in the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040. Rev. Rudy Tribble will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025, 5:00pm to 8:00pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home. Additionally, the family will receive friends from 11:00am until the hour of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
