James (Jimmy) Robert Maultsby, age 70 of Holly Springs, died May 31, 2020 at his Hickory Flat home. Mr. Maultsby was born April 18, 1950, in Whiteville, North Carolina, to Allyn Carlyle and Mary Lois Maultsby.
He attended Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia graduating in 1969. After High School he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed football while in High School. He was an avid hunter for many years and enjoyed fishing as well. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle later in life.
He was a twice Past Master at Roswell Masonic Lodge #165. Retired from Lucent after 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Colleen Maultsby, daughter Michelle Hodges, son in law Scot Hodges, granddaughter Caroline Hodges, sister Elizabeth McLean (Betty Mac) Mallernee and husband Greg Mallernee, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Allyn, mother Mary Lois, and brother Carlyle.
