James Earl Hubbard

James Earl Hubbard was born and raised in Forsyth County, GA, he started driving a truck for his daddy and worked with his brothers, hauling rock, gravel and eventually logs until he retired in 2015. He was known as the “meanest man in Forsyth County” and a “legend” to those that heard of him, but he was just daddy and grandaddy to his family. The Lord intervened in his life in May of 1983, and he started back in church, telling his life story and going from church to church speaking about the life he lived out in the world. His testimony was something everyone should hear. He became a deacon of Haw Creek Baptist Church on March 13, 2005, a position he held with pride.

James Earl is proceeded in death by his parents, Clayton and Ola Mae Hubbard, brothers, Herman and Leroy Hubbard and sisters Melba Snyder and Sandra Vaughan.

James Earl is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susie Payne Hubbard, loving daughter, Angela H Tate and son, Matthew Hubbard (Reeta). His precious grandchildren, Logan and Alexis Tate, Molly Tate, Nealee, Jalen and Michaelyn Hubbard. His two beautiful great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Oakleigh Belle. Sister-in-law, Sandra Hubbard, brothers-in laws, Mickey (Diane) Payne and Larry Payne and sister-in-law, Tanny Payne. Many nephews and nieces, cousins and family also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 8, 2026 3:00p at Haw Creek Baptist Church,1405 Haw Creek Rd, Cumming, GA 30041. Visitation at the church will be Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 1:30p until the hour of service with Rev. Larry Vaughan, Rev. Shad Faulkner and Rev.Tim Hubbard.
