James Lewis Golly, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Alpharetta, GA on May 20th, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela; daughters Whitney Reeves (husband Jonathan) of Marietta, GA, and Courtney Thomas (husband Josh) of Roswell, GA. Grandchildren Elijah, Presley, Rosie, and Quinn Reeves, and Emerson, Willow, and Hattie Thomas; and his brother Bill Golly of Point Arena, CA.
Jim adored his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his work, and spent his entire career in the electrical industry. His job took him to Guam, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, and nearly everywhere in between.
Jim was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He kept everyone rolling in laughter and his recent hobbies included flirting with the hospice nurses.
Despite his ten year battle with Parkinson’s disease, he never complained, and lived with kindness, grace, and humor until the end. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Per Jim’s request, a private family service will be held.
