Mr. James Walter Bloom Jr., age 86 of Black Mountain, N.C. passed away October 25, 2016. Although Jim never married, he was known by so many as their 'Dear Old Adopted Dad, Granddad or Uncle'. He taught those around him that love was what made a family.

Jim volunteered countless hours of community service never asking for or expecting any recognition. His life was truly dedicated to serving his church, his country, his community and others.
He is survived by his nieces Christine M. (David) Bloom Horth of Niagara Falls NY and Cheryl A. (Frank) Palermo of Webster NY. His nephew Bernard (Rhonda) Bloom of Park Hills NY.
A service to celebrate his life will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2 PM at Highland Farms Retirement Community Black Mountain N.C.
Jim will be interred with his parents and brother at St Joseph's Cemetery in Albion, NY.
