Hoyt Dean Estes

Mr. Hoyt Dean Estes, age 81, lifelong resident and native of Forsyth County, GA passed away peacefully at his home on September 19th, 2017. A musician and recording artist, Hoyt spent a lot of time in his younger years backstage at the Grand Ole Opry enjoying friends Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins. Prior to his illness, he was a regular at the Ponce De Leon Music Store in Cumming, GA.

A quiet man that loved his family, his simple life, and his friends. His presence and musical influence will be truly missed.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his friends are his nephews and their children; Stan Estes (Patsy Brookshire), Phil Estes (Pam), and Greg Estes (Tina) all of Cumming, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 21st, at 7PM, Cumming Second Baptist Church, 217 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Cumming, GA 30040. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, September 21st from 4PM until 7PM. Interment will be at 11AM Friday, September 22nd at the Cumming Second Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cumming Second Baptist Church in Hoyt's memory.
