Frank Beadle Jr. Obituary

Frank Robert Beadle Jr., a devoted family man, accomplished entrepreneur, and avid outdoorsman, passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 78 after a 14-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born on October 27, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Frank was the beloved son of Annette Lott Beadle and Frank Robert Beadle, both deceased. Growing up in a military family, he lived in numerous locations across the United States, following his father’s service in the Air Force. He spent numerous summers of his young adult years working on his Aunt Bonnie and Uncle K.D.’s farm in Douglas, Georgia, a time from which he developed ties to the area such that it became like home for him.

Frank graduated from St. John’s Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin, in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1969. He was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and a lifelong Georgia Bulldogs fan. In 1977, Frank earned his Master of Science degree from Emory University.

Frank began his career working for Millipore Corporation and Gelman Scientific, then founded Equitech of Georgia, Inc., in 1982. As an entrepreneur, he exemplified hard work, integrity, and ingenuity.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Frank was deeply passionate about the outdoors. A gifted fly fisherman, he was known for his artistry in tying his own flies. He loved hunting deer and ducks and shared his enthusiasm for the wilderness through many memorable fishing trips to British Columbia, Montana, North Carolina, and New Zealand. In 1976, he received the prestigious Herb Beattie President's Award from the Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Frank also cherished traveling with his wife of 52 years, Josefa "Josie" Eager Beadle. Together, they explored Europe extensively, with their final trip being a river cruise in Bordeaux, France, in 2017, where they enjoyed the region’s fine wines.

Frank is survived by his wife, Josie; his son, Russell D. Beadle and his wife Michele, of Canton, Georgia; his daughter, Brooke B. Anderson, and her husband Chris, of Boulder, Colorado; and four grandchildren: Elizabeth Beadle (15), Collin Beadle(13), Charlene Anderson(5), and William Anderson(2). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wrenn Beadle Gooding, and brother-in-law, Tom Gooding.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Lakeside Funeral Home, 121 Claremore Dr, Woodstock, GA 30188 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the family home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (michaeljfox.org) or The Assistance Fund (tafcares.org) in honor of Frank’s courageous fight against Parkinson’s Disease.
