Eric Mullins Holcomb

Eric Mullins Holcomb, 58, of Ball Ground, Georgia was born July 17th, 1965 and passed away June 12th, 2024, peacefully in Ball Ground, surrounded by family.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Coy M. Holcomb Sr.; mother, Ernestine Caylor Holcomb; and brothers, Rhett Holcomb and Jeremy Holcomb. He is survived by his former wife, Tracey M. Holcomb, and their children, Hayden Holcomb (Savannah Holcomb), Bryan Holcomb (Brooke Mitchell), and Lilly Holcomb (Colton Baty). He was a proud grandfather to Coy L. Holcomb and Hudson Holcomb.

Eric is also survived by his siblings: Cheryl Holcomb, Melody Day (Alan), C. Marshall Holcomb, Jr. (Hilda Grace), Yvette Eddy (Bob), Wyatt Holcomb (Michelle),April Hamby (Jay), Holly Trammell (Tim), Edie Koller(Karl), and Ashley Holcomb. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A skilled surveyor by profession, Eric was dedicated to his work and took pride in his craft. He was a passionate supporter of Ball Ground Boy Scouts Troop 130, where he inspired many young scouts with his dedication and enthusiasm. Eric had a profound love for the outdoors, spending his free time camping, fishing, and enjoying the company of his family.

Eric’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for his family will always be cherished by those who knew him. His kind spirit and devotion to others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.

The family will receive friends at Sharp Mountain Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Monday, June 17th, from 2pm until 5pm. A celebration of life will immediately follow on June 17th at 5pm at Sharp Mountain Baptist Church in Ball Ground, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ball Ground Botanical Garden in Eric’s honor, where his sons, Hayden and Bryan, completed their Eagle Scout Projects.

Eric will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
