Elizabeth Smithwick Plummer, age 78, passed away Sunday, September 19 surrounded by family at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton. She was born September 16, 1943 to John and Wynell Holtzclaw Smithwick who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her sister Marie Smithwick, her sons Johnny and Jody Simmons as well as her granddaughter Hannah Simmons and 1 great grandchild A’lannah.
She is survived by her son Jackey (Judy) Simmons, grandson Kenney (Lisa) Simmons, and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her 2 brothers, Harace (Christine) Smithwick and FM (Jackie) Smithwick, several nieces and nephews along with many extended relatives and her best friend Darlene Moss.
Elizabeth was a member of Sutallee Baptist Church. We are comforted knowing that she is in heaven reunited with her dear family that preceded her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
