Dino Richard Muzzin of Rabun Gap, GA, formerly of Washington, MI, passed away on Sunday August 8, 2021, at the age of 83. After a long battle with Lewy Body dementia, he died peacefully at his wonderful memory care center, Oaks at Hampton, in Cumming, GA.
Dino was born in Detroit, MI on December 28, 1937, to father Angelo Muzzin and mother Yolanda Muzzin. He had an older brother, Vic Muzzin, younger brother, Joe Muzzin, and younger sister, Theresa Muzzin. At an early age, he decided that he was going to become a builder. He learned his trade by working with his Father, Uncles, and cousins. In February 1961, he married Doreen Marian Kardosh. Before then, he was enlisted in the Army. After the Army, Dino worked on the railroad for 14 years. Then, he established D. Muzzin Construction Co. and built houses for over 50 years.
Dino is survived by his wife of 60 years Doreen Muzzin; brother Joe (Pat) Muzzin; brother-in-law William Kardosh and Wallace (Patty) Kardosh; children Derrick (Julie) Muzzin and Dominique (Bud Refine) Muzzin; grandchildren Cassie Muzzin, Derrick (Lauren) Muzzin II, and Nicholas Refine; great-grandsons, Boone Muzzin and Ledger Muzzin, and great-granddaughter Makayla Muzzin and numerous nieces and nephews. Dino was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Vic Muzzin, sister-in-law Pat Muzzin and his sister Theresa (Mike) Canfield.
A private celebration of life will be held. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Lewy Body Dementia Association, Inc.
