Clay D. Burgess

Mr. Clay D. Burgess, age 60 of Canton, GA passed away peacefully February 10, 2019 after a long illness. Mr. Burgess was a Georgia native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Ermel and Annie Mae (Sanford) Burgess, and a sister, Kathleen Shellnut.

He is survived by his brother J.C. Burgess & wife Karen; brother Billy Burgess & wife Tracey; brother R.J. Burgess; sister Stella & husband Larry; sister Dorothy & husband Larry. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11a at Lakeside Funeral Home Chapel, 121 Claremore Drive, Woodstock, GA 30188. Burial will follow at Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 696 Arbor Hill Rd. Canton, GA. 30115.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3p until 8p at Lakeside Funeral Home,121 Claremore Dr. Woodstock, GA 30188.
