Christopher Lee Johnston

Christopher Lee Johnston, age 51 of Forsyth County completed his life’s journey to heaven the morning of August 4th, 2020 at his residence.

Chris was born August 23, 1968 in Albany, GA to John Ferrin Johnston and Beverley Irene Johnston. He is preceded by his mother Beverley Irene Johnston and is survived by his loving wife Roni Johnston, children Barry, Kirsti, Lindzie, Austin and Nicholas Johnston. His grandchildren Ezra Johnston, Amelia Johnston, Mayzleigh Ware and Zepplin Ware. Father John Johnston and his brothers John Johnston, Jr., Chuck Johnston, Frank Johnston and Chris Graham. Along with his Father and Mother In-law Ron and Shellie Schelter.

Chris was employed by Lennar Homes and built homes for a living and loved seeing the families transform houses he built for them into their homes. A builder at heart, his true passion was volunteering in the children ministries at his local church that he was a member of, Browns Bridge Church, where he knew each child by name that came into his class. Chris volunteered for twelve years in the children ministries building relationships with families across northern Georgia while leaving an everlasting impact on hundreds of young people.  

His wish was for his youngest son Nicholas to go to college so that will be current family focus with a celebration of life planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers we would ask that you make donations to the Browns Bridge Church Fostering Together Program in his name. You can make checks payable to Fostering Together and they can be mailed to Browns Bridge Church 3860 Browns Bridge Road Cumming, GA 30041. Chris spent a short period of his life in foster care, so this cause is close to his heart.
