Anne Margaret Walters (Annie) was born in Colorado on August 9, 1985. She passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, partner, and friend. Anne was a kind and giving woman who many people respected and genuinely loved.
She attended the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning (RMSEL) a K through 12 school in Denver, Colorado. Graduating early, she attended Metropolitan State College on a scholarship. She studied and passed the National Opticianry Competency exam at the age of 17. She was one of several students chosen to attend the Tuskegee Airman's Mile High Flight program which introduced her to their part in aviation history and also instilled in her the love of flying.
Anne had varied interests growing up and into adulthood. She enjoyed playing softball, swimming, and she appreciated the arts in general; including painting and singing. She also volunteered both stateside and abroad over the years.
After her first year of college Anne moved to Maui and worked at the Maui Ocean Center and Aloha Airlines. During this time she studied, trained, and obtained her private pilot’s license from Maui Aviators at age 20. She then moved back to Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Anne was truly great with people, all kinds of people, all ages of people.
Anne survived by her infant son Tyler Davis, her partner Jonathan Davis of Georgia, her mother, Hope Marie-Walters, her father, Daniel Walters and her sister, Meri (Maggie) Walters, all of Hawaii, her maternal grandmother, Mary Logreen of Colorado and many family members and friends.
We love you Anne and miss you very much. May you rest in the peace and love you truly deserve.
