Albert “Dennis” Taylor, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and distinguished 30-year Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024.
Born on July 21, 1947, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dennis dedicated his life to serving his country with honor and distinction. Rising to the esteemed rank of Command Master Chief, he exemplified leadership, courage, and unwavering commitment to his fellow service members and the nation.
After his distinguished military career, Dennis continued to serve his community as a dedicated employee of Forsyth County for 15 years, leaving a lasting impact through his professionalism and commitment.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Trudy; his son, Ron; and his daughters, Debie and Tiffney. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Brittany, Rick, Makenzie, Ronnie, and Jesse, whose lives were brightened by his love, wisdom, and humor. Dennis will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to his family, country, and community. His legacy of service, integrity, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A private service with full military honors was held at Georgia National Cemetery on December 23, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Veterans Alliance Honor Guard of Cumming, GA, in Dennis’ memory.
