Jamie Lee Jacobson Cahill

Ms. Jamie Lee Jacobson Cahill, age 66 of Johns Creek, GA passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 18th, 2019 at her residence.

Jamie was undaunted!
No one had to wonder about Jamie’s faith because she lived it out every day.

Jamie earned a B.A. at the University of Alabama. She was in the KKG Sorority and performed with the Kappa Pickers. Roll Tide!

Jamie was a member at Independent Presbyterian Church (IPC) in Memphis, TN. At IPC Jamie learned the Bible and how to declare the glory of God in all things.

At Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, Georgia Jamie was famous - even having her own parking space! She taught English to international students and hosted a Monday night Bible study at her house - even though it conflicted with Monday night football!

Jamie was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Jan Jacobson. She is survived by her sister Dr. Judith Jacobson, two daughters Shannon Lee Coffey (Chris) and Cameron Jacobson Brown, and grandchildren Brittin McLain Brown, Melissa Judith Coffey, Christopher Thomas Coffey Jr., and Jacobson Roy Coffey. Jamie is also survived by her uncle Robert Sterling Finley and cousins Lynn Dunstan and Robert (Nancy) and their children.

A graveside service was held to bury Jamie with her parents Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Wilmington, DE, 19807.

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous can run to it and be safe."
Proverbs 18:10

Now Jamie knows in full what she only knew in part before.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 7th, 2019 at 1p. Perimeter Church, 9500 Medlock Bridge Rd. Johns Creek, GA 30097. Reception to follow.

Scott Huskins Funeral & Cremation Services are in charge of the arrangements. 678.771.5566 | www.scotthuskins.com

What a joy to visit with Jamie and to be of help to her. She blessed me and our family with her prayers and love and interest. She was so very wise to get her visitors/helpers talking about themselves, their families and their doings. That interest showered us with love, but it also gave her so much more to think and pray about, than if she had recited her pains and difficulties over and over, like most people in her position might. I will miss my friend Jamie, as i also miss her mom Jan. Both loved our family so well.

One cannot know Shannon for very long without hearing her speak of Mama Lee. Shannon's eyes sparkle and her beautiful smile becomes even more brilliant when she talks about Mama Lee. I sat in Bible Study with Shannon and heard lessons, stories, and spiritual insights from the life of Mama Lee for several months before I met Mama Lee in person. It felt a little like meeting royalty - the awe and wonder at being in the presence of one who has become "famous" in my mind. But then Mama Lee smiled, her eyes danced with delight and I knew that truly I was in the presence of one who has walked with God. As we studied God's Word together she joined in the discussion with precious insights and wisdom. Sitting there, watching the love and admiration on Shannon's face, listening to a woman who has a hard won intimacy with Jesus, my soul was blessed and deeply touched. While I only got to be with Mama Lee a few times, I know her life had been well-lived, dedicated to her Lord and Savior, and that the legacy of her life and love lives on in Shannon, her sister, her beautiful grandchildren, and in all those who had the privilege to call her friend.

Jamie was a special lady. Just like her mom and dad and sister. Whenever I saw her she seemed to be in an upbeat mood. We will all miss her, certainly. But she now knows the 'big secret'. God bless her and the whole family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

I met Shannon’s mom, Jamie at church in Maryland, while she was visiting. She was such a ray of light! She was filled with the Holy Spirit and her faith was contiguous. I know she is dancing with Jesus~ the most beautiful soul! I am very grateful to have the opportunity to meet her on this side of Heaven❤️

What a God loving force she was and now she will continue to live on in her two beautiful daughters. May her love of laughter reign in our hearts. I am so blessed to have known her and to be a close friend to Shannon - who is my son's Godmother. Jamie liked that!

Jamie was my first friend in America. She always prayed for me and my family. She taught me and my children english when we came to the U.S. and we will always be grateful. She liked my fried catfish.
I will miss you Jamie.

So shocked to hear this. I took meals and shared our love for Alabama for 15 years when I was a member of Perimeter. Have lived in Fl for 5 yr and planning to move back soon and thought I would once again serve my friend. Gif had other plans.
